Stuff I Own
Here, I will show you some really cool things that I own.
|
 |
Pioneer SX-3700
This receiver is from 1983. I got it from my grandparents, and I use it for FM radio and to record from radio/CD to tape.
|
|
 |
Denon DRM-510
This tape deck is from the 1990s, and has incredible sound with Dolby HX Pro B/C.
|
|
 |
ION Profile LP Turntable
This is my turntable. It is very basic and decent. My old Sony broke, so I'm stuck with it. I can digitize records with it as well.
|
|
 |
Sony UBP-X700
This is my 4K UHD player. Something is fucked up with this player because if I power it off it will factory reset itself. I am stuck having to keep it on auto-start mode and even then it sometimes will glitch.
|
|
 |
Toshiba SD-2800
This is my CD player. It's really a DVD player, but it has a great DAC and does CD-TEXT.
|
|
 |
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300
This is my camera I mainly use for photography. It's a 4K 12MP camera from 2015, and the photos that come from it are spectacular.
|
|
 |
Canon AE-1
This is one of my film cameras that I use from time to time.
|
|
 |
Fujica STX-1
This is my other film camera that I mainly use.
|
|
 |
Age of Empires II: Age of Kings
This is one of my favorite games of all time.
|
|
 |
Windows 98
This is my own copy of Windows 98 on CD. Glad to own it! It has all of the inserts too.
|
|
 |
Windows 95
I bought this sealed! I also have a CD-ROM of the Windows 95 upgrade along with one of I.E. Starter Kit, both of which I got sealed.

1999
Album • 1982
Listen on Apple Music
1999 is one of Prince's greatest, strongest, and most consistent albums. Some of my favorite songs off the album have to be 1999, Little Red Corvette, Automatic, Lady Cab Driver, and International Lover. I think the weakest track off of the album is probably Free or Delirious, songs that I still enjoy but not as much as the ones listed previously. The copy I own is the original 1982 pressing, with a misprint on the center of side C. When listening on my main PC (foobar2000), I listen to the 24-bit/44.1kHz remaster from 2019.

Purple Rain
Album • 1984
Listen on Apple Music
This is my favorite Prince album alongside Parade. Tracks I love from this album are Let's Go Crazy, The Beautiful Ones, Computer Blue, When Doves Cry, Baby I'm a Star, and Purple Rain. The weakest track in my opinion is Take Me with U. I own a 1984 variant pressing, with the only difference between this and the standard one being that the sheet with the lyrics and credits has purple rain as opposed to a lake (Minnetonka?). I actively listen to the 24-bit/192kHz HDTracks FLAC (not to be mistaken with the 24-bit/192kHz 2015 Paisley Park Remaster, which is one of the WORST remasters ever made for an album). Another horrible version of Purple Rain is the remix available on Apple Music. The only listenable song is probably Computer Blue or When Doves Cry. There are MANY elements in the songs that are either too quiet or too loud. The title track's mix is horrid. It is embarassing that this was not only published but also printed on Blu-Ray discs to purchase for $30+. The glue of the title track is completely stripped away and you hear elements there that were not present in the original track and probably were never supposed to be heard. It is a shame how the estate prioritizes this album so much yet constantly ruins the listening experience.

Around the World in a Day
Album • 1985
Listen on Apple Music
Not one of my favorite Prince albums, but I do own the original 1985 pressing of the album. A few tracks I like from here are Condition of the Heart, Raspberry Beret, America, and Pop Life. I listen to the 24-bit/44.1kHz remaster from 2025. Along with the much needed remaster of the album, the estate was generous enough to give us a remix of the album. I must say, it is impressive, and it is NOTHING like Purple Rain's.

Parade
Album • 1986
Listen on Apple Music
As I stated above, this is definitely one of my favorite Prince albums. Songs I really enjoy from this album are Girls & Boys, Venus de Milo, Kiss, Anotherloverholynyohead, and Sometimes It Snows in April -- a track I rarely ever listen to, but still adore. I never liked New Position, Life Can Be So Nice, or Do U Lie? on this album. I own the original 1986 pressing of the LP, and I listen to the 24-bit/192kHz HDTracks copy of the album in FLAC.

1999
7'' Single • 1982
Listen on Apple Music
They say 2000-zero-zero, party over, oops! Out of time! Another one of my favorite songs of all time. I constantly hear it on the radio, which puts a smile on my face. I was never really a big fan of the B-side, How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore.
|
|
 |
When Doves Cry
7'' Single • 1984
Listen on Apple Music
One of my favorite Prince songs and one of the greatest pop songs ever created. 17 Days is an excellent B-side.

Purple Rain
12'' Single • 1984
Listen on Apple Music
Call me a basic Prince fan, but Purple Rain is my favorite song of all time and favorite Prince song of all time. I have the original 12'' pressing that I got in VG++ condition. It is NOT the purple colored record.

Kiss
7'' Single • 1986
Listen on Apple Music
Absolutely love this song, but not so much the B-side, which is Love or Money. Kiss is definitely one of my favorite songs of all time, and is so simple musically but so iconic.

Off the Wall
Album • 1979
Listen on Apple Music
Off the Wall is one of my top 3 MJ albums of all time. No other album of Michael Jackson's sounds like this -- not even his earlier Motown solo albums. It is a unicorn in his discography. Off the Wall one of the greatest mastered albums ever made. Some tracks I love from this album are Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough, Rock With You, Workin' Day and Night, Get on the Floor, Off the Wall, and I Can't Help It. The worst song on this album is Girlfriend and I think it could have been swapped out for something better. I own the original 1979 pressing, where Rock With You has no hand claps. Sounds weird, but so interesting. I listen to a 24-bit/96kHz copy of the album in FLAC which sounds phenomenal, just like its version on Apple Music.

Thriller
Album • 1982
Listen on Apple Music
Oddly enough, this isn't in my top 3. I love every single song from this album and I listen to each of its tracks very frequently! It is one of the greatest albums ever made, and the copy of Thriller that I own is the late-1982 reissue where Michael's co-producer credit was added (it was missing on the very first pressings). I recieved this as a gift from my mother, and this LP was originally hers when she was a kid. I listen to the 24-bit/176.6kHz HDTracks FLAC of the album -- which is -- in my personal opinion -- the best sounding version of the album other than the US/Japan vinyl or the 1999 SACD. The remix available on Apple Music is FANTASTIC. I think it is the best remix out of any of Michael's catalog, other than Off the Wall, which comes in at a close second.

Bad
Album • 1987
Listen on Apple Music
Bad is favorite album by Michael Jackson. The Bad era, album, and tour were all so great and it really changed the way people saw Michael and modified his public image. Bad also happens to have some of my favorite songs of all time, just like his previous albums and Dangerous (see below). Some tracks I really enjoy from the album are Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, Liberian Girl, Another Part of Me, Man in the Mirror, Dirty Diana, and Smooth Criminal. My least favorite song if I HAD to pick one off of the Bad album would have to be Just Good Friends. Oddly enough, I disliked this song for years up until recently. I happen to own an original 1987 pressing where there are zero modifications to the songs, unlike on my CD and cassette copies, and like the versions on DSPs. I listen to the 24-bit/96kHz 2012 remaster of the album, despite it being compressed. I have yet to find another version. The remix of Bad is a little underwhelming, and some tracks have very mediocre mixes, like Bad, Liberian Girl, Just Good Friends, Smooth Criminal, and Leave Me Alone. Was very disappointed in this mix.

Dangerous
Album • 1991
Listen on Apple Music
Dangerous is also in my top 3 MJ albums of all time. Dangerous' era, mystery, and cover always amaze me. In fact, I always notice something new when looking at the cover of the album. Dangerous has some of my favorite songs of all time, and a few of my favorite tracks off the album are Jam, Why You Wanna Trip On Me, In the Closet, Remember the Time, Can't Let Her Get Away, Black or White, Who Is It, Give in to Me, and Dangerous. This album also has some great demos/unreleased tracks, and I am glad that they were eventually released on posthoumous albums or on compilations, such as Thriller 25 (For All Time. The only track I ever disliked off of Dangerous was Will You Be There, and I believe that it could have been replaced with tracks such as Someone Put Your Hand Out or Slave to the Rhythm (later released on Xscape in 2014). I am also very lucky to own an original 1991 copy of the 2LP, and I spent around $80 on it. It is an EU pressing of the album. When listening digitally, I listen to a 24-bit/96kHz copy of the album, but I might switch to the MoFi SACD version (once I fix the channel inbalance on Jam myself). Dangerous just got its own remix released yesterday (4/23/2026) and it too is comparable to Thriller and Off the Wall. The only two tracks that sounded really bad were She Drives Me Wild and In the Closet, and in the latter it had some weird filter over one of the vocals sung by Princess Stéphanie of Monaco/Mystery Girl. Vocals were all over the place in that song and it wasn't good. I hope that the HIStory and Invincible albums get their remixes soon.

Got this 2LP as a birthday gift back in March. Great compilation! It has the radio/7'' edits of the songs on here and has some great songs.

Smooth Criminal
7'' Single • 1988
Listen on Apple Music
My favorite Michael Jackson song of all time has to be Smooth Criminal. The track, much like Kiss, is very basic but so good. My favorite part of the song has to be when the strings come in during the chorus. The strings in many of Michael's songs (Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough, Billie Jean, Stranger in Moscow, You Rock My World, etc) are beautiful and these songs wouldn't be the same or hit as hard as they do without them, ESPECIALLY Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough. The short film for Smooth Criminal is also my favorite music video/short film of all time, in addition to Bad, Thriller, and Remember the Time. I think the full 40-minute segment as shown in Michael's 1988 film Moonwalker should have been the official video as opposed to the 9-minute cut.

Not really a big fan of this song, but I am glad to own the 7'' single with the spoken intro.

True Blue
Album • 1986
Listen on Apple Music
One of my favorite albums by the Queen of Pop. A few tracks I like from True Blue are Papa Don't Preach, Open Your Heart, Live to Tell, and La Isla Bonita. Sure, I pretty much all the hits, but that doesn't mean they aren't great songs. I only really disliked White Heat and Jimmy Jimmy from this album. I am very happy to own this, and this was from my mom. This is also the original 1986 pressing. I listen to a 24-bit/192kHz vinyl rip of the album which sounds fantastic.
